Laws require insurance in Alaska when you drive

With both financial responsibility and mandatory insurance laws, Alaska has the laws necessary to protect the public from uninsured drivers. The laws give the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) the right to remove those who violate the financial laws of the state from the roads for failing to have car insurance.

Long wait times are concerns for victims far from hospitals

Imagine being involved in an accident but having nowhere to go. That's what it's like for millions of people in America who don't live close to hospitals. Not living close to the life-saving facilities can mean that injuries get worse without treatment and that those who might have been saved pass away due to the length of time it takes to get medical treatment.

Avoiding soccer injuries starts with better regulations

When it comes to sports, kids are going to have occasional injuries. The problem only occurs if the steps to protect them against injuries aren't taken by the school or facility that is holding the sporting event. For example, if a child is given ill-fitting equipment and gets hurt on a field that is not maintained well, the school or facility could be held liable for those injuries as a result of negligence.

What should you do before taking out your recreational vehicle?

You love the summer and fall, because it's almost time for the kids to go back to school. Your schedule gets back to normal, and there is less stress all around for your family. Before school is back in, you want to take your kids on a trip. It's a great way to bond and share new experiences together.
